Scope of Work

· Mobilize financial and technical resources for NFTA’s institutional setting and the planned activities. · Develop NFTA curriculum, including striking strategic partnerships with selected international institutions. · Articulate strategic statements (that is, vision, mission. principles, and value proposition) that broadly explain the raison d’etre of NFTA. · Identify training and research areas of focus, thereby defining the trade policy research agenda, as well as establishing formal mechanisms to connect with network members, etc. · Facilitate the development of an internet portal and communication strategy. · Establish appropriate governing structure and institutional frameworks to provide coordination of follow up activities for effective implementation of NFTA activities and programs. · Strengthen capacities for trade policy researchers, experts, policymakers and stakeholders. · Promote network among Nigerian trade-related training and research activities, programs and their respective institutions. · Facilitate e-consultations with stakeholders and experts. · Facilitate digital mutual learning by and sharing of lessons amongst the States and Local Governments as they develop/review/reform their digital trade policies; and . Establish mechanisms for tracking and reporting on progress made in implementation of NFTA activities and programs.

NFTA Bulletin

NFTA will collaborate with selected development partners to produce its monthly bulletin (NFTAB), as well as the Nigerian Trade and Industry Innovation Studies Series (NTISS) . NFTA Bulletin (NFTAB) introduces featured research and training related policies and showcase noteworthy trade and sustainable development policies of relevance to industrial, economic and regional integration issues. NFTAB will be published and updated monthly.

Nigerian Trade and Industry Innovation Studies Series (NTISS)

NTISS, as the official journal of the NFTA, aims at publishing both qualitative and quantitative research issues which strengthens Nigeria’s unique position within the international economy, and its interaction across the globe.

Training

NFTA-AFD will focus on two core skills areas • Act as the national academy that foster reskilling among public officials in preparation for the 4IR. • Serve as a bridge programs which provide unique opportunities for polytechnic and university graduates to reskilling for business employability and leadership, thereby enhancing Nigeria’s industrial trajectory.
